Career Counselling and Personality Development Programmes for Students Selected for Scholarships and for Schools under School Support Programme Career Counselling has gained importance as the range of careers and jobs have increased with the emergence of new and unconventional careers. Another important factor is that the students sometimes find it difficult to convert their educational base into livelihood earning, especially in rural areas and small towns. One of the reasons is lack of proper guidance and awareness of actual conditions and demand of job market.

Counselling is one of the activities undertaken by the Foundation. Pradeep Richa Educare Foundation acts on its motto of ‘Path Pradarshak’- to act as a guide for students. Career counselling and personality development sessions are held together as the latter helps students to overcome shyness and participate in career counselling sessions without any inhibitions and confidently inquire about their career options. We believe that every individual has his/her own unique qualities. These unique qualities need to be identified. Through career counselling and personality development programme we explore these qualities of the students and guide and help them find a direction which is beneficial and satisfying for them and which will ultimately act as a benefit for the society. Leadership skill, teamwork, communication skill, public speaking, study techniques, time management form a part of personality development workshop.

Counselling helps in connecting students to resources so that they can become more knowledgeable about jobs and occupations. It also helps students in the decision-making process in order that they can choose a career path that is well suited to their own interests, values, abilities and personality.
